Do You Have the Symptoms of an Anxiety Attack?

Uncategorized Add comments

Do your palms get sweaty and you find it difficult to breathe just anticipating your next trip to the grocery store?  Do you feel nauseous and out of control every time you climb a ladder?  Are you putting off cleaning the basement because every time you think about it you start trembling uncontrollably and feel like you’re going to faint?  You may be suffering the symptoms of an anxiety attack and if you don’t take care of it it’s only going to get worse.

Some of the physical symptoms of an anxiety attack include:

Heart palpitations
Frequent urination
Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
Trembling, twitching and shaking
Sweaty palms
Headaches
Excessive fatigue
Sore muscles from being tense all the time

If you experience an irrational fear or severe worry in situations that other people would normally take with a grain of salt then you may be experiencing your first symptoms of an anxiety attack.  Because one anxiety attack leads to another and they continue to increase in frequency, it’s important that you seek medical attention at the first sign of attack.  Anxiety attacks can be controlled and even completely eliminated with either medication or cognitive behavioral therapy, or a combination of both.
