Ok, so we all know that smoking is bad, well at least everyone should know by now shouldn’t they? It seems everybody has their own tips to quit smoking. Even if you wanted to get away from it you couldn’t because the media won’t let you. If after all the effort these media services have put into the message you are still smoking then you’re not likely to stop are you?
It would be very naïve if you believed that lung cancer only affects certain people with a genetic failing or those over 65 years of age. The belief s that you have to be a regular smoker to be affected but did you know that just one cigarette with coat your lungs for a month. If one cigarette can do that, just think how much harm a pack of 20 will do to you. We’re talking some serious damage here, so, if you’re still on the fence about smoking, I think it’s time for a few recent articles on lung cancer.
I couldn’t bear it knowing that all that research has been done and the information freely available and I chose to ignore it! Today, physicians are falling over backwards to help people with a smoking addiction who want to give up before it’s too late. With smoking, common sense rarely rules the day with most smokers ignoring the warnings. Despite all the warnings, it is only when something serious happens to them that some smokers take notice and start taking heed of the warnings. It’s hard to ignore respiratory problems of your own, shortness of breath, hacking cough etc.
One of the most amusing things I’ve ever seen is a person smoking through the hole cut out of their throat – obviously giving up smoking wasn’t an option for that person. Even after seeing this I still found it hard to believe that you could be that addicted or obsessed with the habit. You cannot go on explaining things away and ignore the proof that smoking seriously damages your health. Any articles on lung cancer, asthma and Bronchitis can inform you of this. Then there is what they call passive smoking or inhaling the smoke from other people’s cigarettes. Why not be good to your body and quit while it is still worth it.
