A panic attack can be a very debilitating experience. Your heart will be pounding, you may tremble from head to toe, and you will sweat profusely as you hope you don’t die. Training your body how to stop panic attacks before they start is beneficial to you in every way possible.
Next time you feel a panic attack coming on, stop and try to focus on, and control your breathing. It can be very difficult to do at first, but eventually you will train yourself to notice the first signs of an attack, and stop it before it gets out of hand.
Another thing you can do is pick up an object when you feel a panic attack coming on. Focus all of your attention on that object and describe it to yourself. Knitting is something great to get into for this reason. Knitting requires all of your attention and is soothing and meditative.
